The business and innovation summit of the Pacific Alliance

The Pacific Alliance will carry out a business and innovation summit with the purpose of internationalizing, making known and detailing the success cases of their four members: Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru. This summit has become the “most important in Latin America LAB 4+”, according to its own organizers.

The innovation Summit will take place on September 3 and 4 of the present year in the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California, and it will be the first time made outside a member country.  It is said that San Francisco was selected because it is a region where technological innovation projects are undertaken and a place where exponents and practitioners focused on the areas of reference are concentrated, in addition to the attendees from the different regions.

Nutrition and health, education and future work, creative industries and exponential technologies are the central axis in which the business and innovation summit will focus. Thus, creating an environment of global innovation, and generating value and economic growth including exporters, startups, investors, great companies and incubators.

It also seeks to capitalize all effort in the generation of new jobs, so the ecosystem will encourage and enable the consolidation of business and trade expansion, the development of a culture of entrepreneurship, attract investment, and strengthen ties to achieve a permanent relationship with international agents.

In this sense, the Pacific Alliance, through their group of technical cooperation, promotes a great relation in matters of: commercial exchange, new businesses, the search of strategic partners, consolidation of current relations, environment and climate change, innovation, science and technology, social development, academic and student exchange, and tourism.

At last, the four main country members of the Pacific Alliance concentrate 57% of trade in Latin America and the Caribbean. They sum a population of approximately 225 million people, with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) above the two trillion-dollar figure, representing a 35% of GDP from the mentioned region. The holding of events such as the innovation and business summit enables sectors and entrepreneurs who wish to achieve internationalization and continue to be potentialized.
